This Serendipity will be headlined by Posable Action Figures and we are thrilled to be hosting their next single launch on the 23rd of February before their first UK tour.

Our artist for the exhibition this time is Dave Mullins. Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, Dave is an artist and designer whose work is all about the meeting of nature and psychedelia. His art seeks to communicate the feelings of joy, complexity and connection that can be found in the natural world."

Serendipity
Serendipity

A drink, a beat and an image make the greatest of memories. Lend us your eyes, ears and palate for an evening full of music and art. Serendipity feeds on inspiration. As a multiarts event it aims to become a haven for restless minds where they can open wide and feast on creativity. Bands will play during the evening and they will be sharing their space with an exhibition. So if your head is full of wonder, your eyes are expectant and your hand loves holding a cold beverage, you know where to go.

After all, Baudelaire already said it best:

“One should always be drunk. That's all that matters; that's our one imperative need. So as not to feel Time's horrible burden that breaks your shoulders and bows you down, you must get drunk without ceasing.

But what with? With wine, with poetry, or with virtue, as you choose. But get drunk.”

Posable Action Figures

Gareth Goodlad (Vocals/Guitar) and a revolving door of musicians on Drums/Samples/Backing Vocals have had a break out year with festival appearances up and down the country. They were picked on Radio 1's Airplay for their single 'Cut' and featured as one of bands to watch in 2017 by BBC Radio Scotland.

The Motion Poets

The Motion Poets are a young four-piece indie-grunge band formed by friends who met on Edinburgh Napier's popular music course.

Jonah Stead (Guitar/Lead Vocals), Struan Nelson (Guitar/Vocals), Morgan Smith (Bass/Vocals) and Euan Lyons (Drums/Vocals) started the band in 2016.

Blending 70's-esque low-slung guitar riffs, melodic basslines and dance infused driving indie beats, the band draws a wide range of influences, from Britpop to new-wave, including hip-hop and delta-blues.

They aim to combine the band varied and often contrasting influences to craft a fresh sound with an intense live energy.

Rottenrows

Established Glasgow early 2017, Rottenrows are a four piece outfit, combining elements of garage rock/punk, delivering grungy ballads and fast rants. Making their first appearance with a hometown gig in March and a digital release, the band continued the rest of the year playing around Scotland with other local bands spreading their noise.

They have recently finished recording a selection of tracks at Green door studios for release early this year, alongside an upcoming tour with Acting Strange.

Acting Strange

Glasgow based Acting Strange, which sound has been described as "crude and vintage, authentic and organic". Check out their debut album TALK TALK TALK.
