The Countess Of Fife
The Countess Of Fife

Insurgent alt-country outfit led by legendary Rezillos’ frontwoman Fay Fife. Think of the Cramps meeting Johnny Cash in an unholy alchemy of alt-country and punk with a touch of gospel.

Urban grit combined with punk, rock and soulful, tender melodies, taking the genre to the warped frontiers of a previously unheard terrain, with Fay’s authentic, original lyrics, mellifluous vocals and out-there stage presence.

5 piece band, including special guest Kirsten Adamson.

Songs about life, sadness and badness, as well as hope and spirituality.

Celebrating the long anticipated release of their debut studio album Star of the Sea on vinyl (on Last Night From Glasgow label).

'almost a country style Cramps feel… showcasing how powerful and rich a voice Fay possesses' The Ginger Quiff

Tenement and Temple

Tenement & Temple is a new folk route for Monica Queen and Johnny Smillie. Together they weave intimate readings of songs spanning their career.

Monica as a singer is well known for her numerous guest appearances, most notably with Belle and Sebastian and Snow Patrol but also for her seminal country rock band Thrum and her beautifully Emmylou Harris inspired, Smillie produced solo records. Their new route is a free, melodic and expansive harmonic domain in which dissonance exists with simple beauty and a sense of mischief wrapped in a cassock of spirituality.
