Section 25 are an English post punk and electronic band from Blackpool who were originally signed to Factory Records. In fact their debut single was produced by Ian Curtis of Joy Division. Their Factory Records debut album Always Now was produced by the legendary Martin Hannett. Over a brilliant 40 + year career, they have taken their sound in many directions including their critically acclaimed, Bernard Sumner (New Order) produced 12club hit single ‘Looking From A Hilltop’ (FAC108). Later sampled by The Shamen and Orbital. Talking of sampling, the one time would-be President of America, Kanye West extensively sampled Hit from the bands debut Factory album Always Now for his track ‘FML’.In this last incarnation of the band, founding member Vin Cassidy and long time collaborator Steve Stringer explore the bands rich back catalogue from an Industrial /Dance viewpoint. Section 25 as a duo sounds better than ever!
